The MSM is reporting on the death of Conservatism. One wag even published an RIP obit.
Let's clear the air. There was not a "conservative" on the 2008 ticket. There was a mainstream democrat and a full-blown socialist with Marxist tendencies.
So I am going to write a few definitions and make a few statements. I will add to them as warranted.
If you disagree then Q U I T L Y I N G about being a conservative.
Definitions To Words Used Below:
(...words MEAN things President Clinton...)
Cancer(n): An uncontrolled growth.
Inclusion(v): To associate with like minded people.
Promote(v): To bring forward. Politically, this means to bring an issue to the "front burner".
Provide(v): To handle. Politically, this means it is within the provenance of an entity.
Tax(n): A burden. Politically, this refers to resources (time, money, people) taken to provide necessary functions of a government.
Tax(v): To increase a burden. This is a business expense to corporations and a personal expense to the populace.
Concepts YOU must agree to:
Businesses do not pay expenses. All expenses become part of the cost of the product or service. A tax is a business expense.
Tax increases will vary rarely raise the money predicted, as it discourages the action it is levied on.
Tax decreases, or lessening the burden, will encourage the activity being taxed.
Government is a life-consuming, opportunity squashing, malignant cancer. Governement, at all levels, must be ruthlessly pared back at every opportunity or it will quickly outstrip its necessary functions and start "looking" for things to consume.
Both tax increases and tax decreases should be offset by cutting spending.
The federal governments ONLY purview of education consists of ensuring equal access.
The United Nations is part of the problem, and cannot, and will not, ever be part of the solution.
A united language for government and business activities will encourage inclusion.
The judicial system of the US should never consider foreign precedence.
Government does not create jobs.
Government does not create wealth.
Government does not make inventions.
Government is self-sustaining and will always (no matter who is controlling the reigns) pass laws to increase its own power... at the cost of yours.
No elected official should ever be allowed to retire on the government teat. (Whether this accomplished by term limits or just legislation, is optional.)
